I AM
If you feel that you do not know ME, then you have not looked for ME.
I AM everywhere, you have only to look.
MY beauty is unique and bountiful.
It is above you, below you, around you, inside you.
I bring forth light, and shut down the skies.
I call the wind to ride across the earth and release the rain from clouds on high.
I sing sweetly from branches bathed in abundant colors.
I am Hope, and Happiness, and Peace and Joy.
MY love spills over you like a waterfall into a refreshing pool.
I AM forever near, just a breath, a heartbeat separates me from you.
I long to love and know you better.
Proverbs 8: 17- I love those who love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.

Treetops
Seems another Spring has sprung...
Life renewing itself in every form...
New babies being born in the fields...
Spring flowers decorating the roadsides...
Skies seem bluer and sunshine feels warmer...
Gardens are plowed and ready to receive seed for falls bounty...
Daylight lingers a little longer each evening...
and nights seem sweeter with the hope of warmer weather
playing on the breeze...
God has allowed us another new beginning...
But I was reminded as I looked at the budding
trees, look to the treetops, that is where you
will see me soon, where the sky and clouds meet
those treetops there I will be...
I am thankful for that reminder, for HIS Word says we
should be Watchful and Pray...
This is one Homecoming I do not want to miss...
With all my heart I believe we will see HIM above those
treetops very soon,, come to carry HIS children home...
I Thess. 4: 17
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together
with them in the clouds to meet the LORD in the air...

Reflections
This past year has been a hard one on so many levels.
It has been a year of births, deaths, sickness, love and lost love.
But, isn't that the old cliche "The Circle of Life".
Only easier when you are on the outside looking at others lives.
When it strikes at your door step it can be overwhelming, destructive,
and heartbreaking, leaving questions like "why" hanging in the air.
Now that the "smoke" has cleared a little I look back and reflect on all
that has occurred, and all that God has done and what HE has
taught me and brought me through. The psalmist said it best:
I called upon the LORD in distress: the LORD answered me, and set me in a large place
HE is my strength, and song and my Salvation. Psalms 118,5,6
I have learned that the words, "I trust you Jesus" are the most important words
in my vocabulary!
I have learned that without the LORD directing my every step I don't have a song!
I have learned yet again, that many of the things that I deemed important are not!
I have learned that the love of good friends and family are like a warm quilt when
they wrap their concern and prayers around you!
I have learned that a baby's sweet smile can make even the worse day good again!
I have learned that when the winds of change and bitter cold days rush your world
without a moments notice that I do not have to understand "why", I just need to look
to the ONE who controls the wind, the rain, and the seasons of my life and just trust!
The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do to me? Psalm 118: 6

The Watching Bird
I was driving back to work from lunch, I noticed a large beautiful bird soaring in the
sky, right along with my car.
I topped the hill of the street I was on and the bird continued to fly off to my
right, keeping pace. I saw the bird swoop toward my car and felt it
wanted to make sure I noticed it.
As I glanced in that direction I instantly heard that small quiet voice that I have
come to know as Father...
Yes, He said, it is me ! I am here, I know every twist and turn in this road called life.
I can see the road before you and I can see the road that you have traveled!
No storm cloud, high sea, or fierce wind can keep you from my sight
All of your journey's will not be filled with wonder and happiness but know that
you are mine and I am here soaring along with you, helping you find your way.
Even when you feel so lost.
Never doubt my nearness....
Even in the midst of the raging storms of life, God has us in His sight.
Joshua 1:9
King James Version (KJV)
Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

New Beginnings
How sweet to wake each morning,.
A new day, a new beginning, oh what wonders will this day bring?
Oh, shout to the Lord for this day and the beauty that it holds
From sunrise to sunset, colors and light and sights and sounds all
miraculous events.
Even when our afflictions are many, our blessings are far more abundant!
How wonderful that we are given new beginnings. We serve a just and
awesome God, who is always right there waiting for us to fall into His
arms of forgiveness and love.
He is sweet and good and blessed is the man who trusts in Him....
My heart is thankful and grateful today for this new day!
Based on Scripture from Psalm 34.....

The Harvest is near!
As always, I am so amazed by God's goodness....
This time last year, we were already into triple digit temperatures
and we had had a very dry winter, and the possibility of rain
was not in the forecast.
The crops withered, the grass died, and the fruit trees did
not produce.
Yet, this year God has blessed our land and given us the
measure of rain needed to replenish our fields and yards
and water tanks.
You can see the results all around us....
Fields green with promise, trees full of small beginnings of
fruits and nuts.
Vegetable stands teeming with the rewards of spring and the
promise of a great fall harvest....
I mentioned to my husband my excitement and hope for a
good harvest from my three pecan trees this year.
Wow, immediately God spoke to my heart of His anticipation
of a "Great Harvest" too.....
I like to think he longs for our "Homecoming",
but, Loving Father that He is He wants not one lamb left behind.
I believe with all my heart that the end of the age is close at hand,
the signs are all around us. The earth is trembling with
anticipation...yet most refuse to see....
We should be tidying up our orchards, chafing the wheat from
the tares, making sure our gardens are ready for
the "greatest harvest" of them all...when God sends His
son Jesus to bring His children Home!
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time
we will reap a harvest if we do not give up."

Grateful Heart
I have been busy with canning and freezing
the vegetables and fruits of the season.
The harvest of summer gardens is an amazing time.
I love all the fresh food for my table and the thought
that my pantry will be full for the coming winter months
fills me with joy.
Not only does summer bring forth a bounty of goodness
to eat, the flowers and trees teem with their own beauty and smells.
I love the birds and butterfly's, darting about in my yard.
Hummingbirds zooming in for a drink, then off again quick as a wink.
My heart is grateful for another summer and for the goodness
of God's love over my life.
Our God is an Awesome God!
Happy Summer Everyone......

I will abundantly bless her provision: I will satisfy her poor with bread.

Watching and Learning
As I looked out my bedroom window I saw a Dove, a Cardinal, and a Blackbird feeding together underneath a tree where a feeder hangs.
There was no aggression toward one another as they dined on seeds and nuts.
Not one of them made an attempt to lay claim to the area.
They stepped around each other with polite but cautious movements.
They realized in order to munch on the sunflower seeds and fat peanuts they would have to be tolerant of one another.
How easily they understood that some situations call for putting our true nature aside and adapt to our surroundings in order to get the job done.
This same thing can happen with us when we decide to except Jesus into our heart.
We trust Him and he shows us how we can adapt and change and lay down our old sin nature and become new creatures through Him.
His love teaches us how to live in harmony with those of different
cultures, backgrounds and beliefs.
We can learn to accept and handle tricky circumstances and people that life sometimes leads into our paths and we can do it peacefully with dignity and grace.
2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Life isn't always downhill
We found a great bike just right for me at a garage sale.
I have been riding a little each day trying to go a little
further each ride.
Building up for the day when I might be able to ride
further than down the street.
Although it is true like the old saying goes, once you
learn to ride a bike you never forget how.
Unfortunately it's just not as easy now.
The first challenge I set for myself was to just make it
around our big block, which is about one mile.
I was hesitant because this block has different grades
to it, and I wasn't at all sure I could make it.
As I set off, most of the road was easy and downhill, wheeeee, I
couldn't help but think of the commercial where the little pig
is riding a skateboard downhill "pure adrenaline" wheeeeeeeee.
Wow, then the road changed and I found myself struggling to
keep the wheels rolling. I had to stop get off and push the bike.
Not only were my legs hurting my pride was stinging as well.
As I walked along God started speaking to my heart.
Life isn't always downhill!
Sometimes we face challenges that we aren't prepared
for or capable of taking on.
We have to ready ourselves and equip ourselves in order to be
over comers and have victory over our obstacles.
As my physical body wasn't prepared for the ride, so many times
I am not prepared for the spiritual battles I come up against.
Just like a physical routine to keep our bodies in shape we
must have a routine to keep our Spiritual lives in shape also.
Praise and worship, reading the Word, praying daily, should
all be a part of our daily exercises and routines.
Ephesians 6:10-11
King James Version (KJV)
10Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Signs of Spring
All around me I am reminded that things are about to change.
The world will once again experience the arrival of Spring.
I love all that Springtime offers, new buds on the trees bursting
forth. Mild weather and sunshine.
New babies laying in the pastures, with their mama's nearby.
Chirping songbirds preparing nests in lofty trees.
Crocus and tulips pushing thru the earth bursting with
color and scent.
As I sit here today pondering the coming seasons of 2012 I can't
help but wonder what changes this "old" world might be headed for
and will we all be prepared to face them.
As I opened my Bible this morning I felt instant familiarity and knew
that somethings remain the same and never change.
GOD's Holy Word, forever true, unchanging, ready to guide, comfort and provide instruction for every season of our life.
Even age only increases the wonder and beauty!
So, Welcome Spring and all you bring, I am prepared for your arrival......
Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. But you be watchful in all things..." 2 Timothy 4:2-5

Searching for Winter
It is hard to believe that it is the first of February, it feels like early Spring.
The trees are bare and the skies are overcast and gray,
but the temperature reads seventy-six on our thermometer outside.
I like winter days and enjoy a cozy fire and movies or
reading with a pot of stew bubbling on the stove.
I continue to wait for Winter to show it's icy head and
blow in cooler air and possibly a little snow.
But, I wonder if that is to be this season.
I see changes in the patterns of the seasons and
I do believe that this world as we have always known it is changing.
Such a beautiful world GOD created for His children and
it saddens me to see it slowly losing it's wonder and beauty.
I am thankful for the assurance I feel in my Spirit that whatever does transpire in this changing world that I have a Hope and a Promise.
I only need to continue in my faith and stand strong on my beliefs, because God's Word assures me I need not worry.
He knows exactly where Winter is and when it will come again!
Acts 1:7
He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority.

Winter Haiku's
Winters bare branches
Lying dormant
Spring beauty hidden inside
Dark blue thunder roars
Silver splits the sky
Life giving water falls
Wind whispers and stirs
Fallen leaves dance
To the rhythm of the seasons

Christmas Time
Christmas time, how I love this time of year. It just feels good! For a few weeks a year there seems to be a change in the mood of most people. A happiness , a closeness, a general feeling of love toward one another.
As for me I am overwhelmed with the Christmas story year after year. The greatest love story ever told. The "plan" for mankind, the love of a Father for His children.
The quiet beauty and the steadfast love of a Son for His Father...obedient to the end.
My wish for each and everyone of you this Christmas Season is to embrace that love that was meant for all of us.
Let us live as if it was Christmas everyday, let our gifts be kindness, patience, love and tolerance toward one another.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New year

My Complications/God's Sweet Simplicity
I don't know about you but I can really lose my focus
and life can get complicated.
Battles seem longer, fiercer, unbearable , and lonely.
Even when I know to wait, have faith, trust GOD, and
allow HIM to provide the answers, I steam ahead mucking things up.
Then before you know it, it is complicated.
I say GOD where are you? I cannot see you.
I am trying to listen but I don't hear you.
I feel alone I cannot feel you.
I so need to feel your heart beat in tune with mine,
that I feel afraid when I do not.
Then I see a red bird that lands on a branch above me
and you say, "I am here, can you see me"?
A dove coos sweetly nearby and you ask "I am here can you hear me"?
The wind picks up and a breeze brushes my face, and you ask "I am here can you not feel me"?
You are here, I am safe , we are good !
Isaiah 40: 31
But they who wait upon the Lord shall renew their stregth; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint. KJV

Another Season is upon us, soon leaves will be changing colors
and falling from the trees
The air will become cooler and days will become shorter.
It amazes me to think how intricate the system GOD created when
HE made our world. HE knew and planned for every season.
Springtime is all about new beginnings.
Summer a time for growing.
Autumn is for harvesting and reaping.
Winter is for rest and refreshing.
With each Season we can see the physical changes that they bring.
Sometimes harsh weather, failed crops and at other times
beauty, blessings and abundance.
Is it not the same with the Seasons of our lives. We don't always
embrace the changes that befall us, and we wonder and
question the reason and meaning of every trial, storm and
difficult situation that we travel through.
Life is so full of changes, some are good and successful, others
not so good with devastating results.
As difficult as it sometimes may seem we must trust that GOD has laid the same intricate plans for our lives as HE did when HE created the earth that we live upon.
HE is a loving Father who established the Seasons of our lives and we must trust in the plans HE has for us.
Jeremiah 29:11 - For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not evil, to give you and unexpected end. KJV

The Hummingbird
This morning as I was leaving for work, I glanced at our Hummingbird feeders that hang near our garage.
On one of the feeders there was a Hummingbird lying on his back , stuck in between the rail of the feeder.
He was struggling to right himself but could not do it.
I thought he must have been at it for quite sometime because there were small feathers stuck to the sides of the feeder.
I reached up and the moment I touched him he stopped struggling, this allowed me to get him out of the feeder rail and right his situation.
As soon as my hand opened, off he flew.
I thought of my own life and the many times I have struggled unsuccessfully just like that small bird against life's obstacles.
Fighting against all odds to overcome things that I knew I could not do alone.
Something in that bird this morning knew the instant I touched it that I was there to help.
Therefore he quit struggling and waited.
That is what I must learn to do also, trust and wait on the LORD.
I know the minute HE touches me I need to struggle no more...
Isaiah 40:31
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Heavy Heart
I am burdened today for those who do not know you....
I cry out to the heavens and ask you to hear my plea for them....
They do not see your signs, they do not hear your thunder, they ignore your shakings....
They explain you away....
Why do they choose to believe liars and their lies...over Your Truth....
They believe the words of men who say "good times are coming", a time of hope and change....
Do not be deceived good neighbors....only His Laws Govern the Earth....

Peace
Far away in the depths of my spirit tonight
Rolls a melody sweeter than psalm
In celestial like strains it unceasingly falls
Oer my soul like an infinite calm
Peace, peace, wonderful peace
Coming down from the Father above!
Sweep over my spirit forever, I pray
In fathomless billows of love!
What a treasure I have in this wonderful peace
Buried deep in the heart of my soul
So secure that no power can mine it away
While the years of eternity roll!
I am resting tonight in this wonderful peace
Resting sweetly in Jesus control
For I'm kept from all danger by night and by day
And His glory is flooding my soul!
And I think when I rise to that city of peace
Where the Author of peace I shall see
That one strain of the song which the ransomed will sing
In that heavenly kingdom will be
Ah, soul are you here without comfort and rest
Marching down the rough pathway of time?
Make Jesus your Friend ere the shadows grow dark
accept of this peace so sublime!
