God has forgiven me for so much.
As Christians we are presented with many challenges.
The challenges I face may be very different than
those of others. But no matter how different those
challenges may be, every believer will sooner or
later deal with the challenge of forgiving.
God wants us to live in the likeness of
Jesus. And no other word seems to compare His
character in relationship to us like the word
forgiving.
I realize people who have hurt me, might
not have realized that they had hurt me or what
the results of their actions might cause.
I only know that we never look more Christ like when
we simply forgive those who have hurt us.
I guess it is human nature to wonder why someone hurts someone else. Such as, what may have been the motives of the one whose actions hurt others? People tend to forgive more easily if they think the hurtful person did so unintentionally. Forgiveness is more difficult if the action was done in a mean-spirited manner.
ReplyDeleteHowever, with Christ as our example, we need to strive to forgive those who have hurt us. After the initial hurt and anger subsides, there is actually a freedom and realization that can be gained through this experience.
Knowing that Satan would love to grab an inch or a mile in the heart of a child of God who has been hurt; NOT GIVING IN TO SATAN can bring a wonderful peace and freedom to the one who has been hurt. God's grace is so sufficient!!
